Gretsch | G5622TG | Rabid Dog Relic | Relic Vintage White | MadLove Filtertrons

This guitar came to us as a brand spanking new Gretsch 5422TG in White. It has had the full Rabid Dog Relic treatment from Leadbetter Guitar Co here in the Nepean Music Workshop. 

Electronics

We are really excited to be using MadLove custom wound filterton style pickups. Hand wound by MadLove pickups in Brunswick, Melbourne, Australia. These classic sounding, world class humbuckers take this instrument to a whole new level. As always, we have simplified the electronics down to just a master volume with a single master volume and Switchcraft Jack socket) installed on our Custom aluminium name plate/jack plate).

Custom finish

Here in the Leadbetter Guitar Co Workshop at Nepean Music we have hand sanded the poly top coat away, relic’d  the colour coat to give the feel and look of a much older players guitar, then applied a new ultra thin custom Vintage Matt Clear with 0.7% yellow added for vintage styling.
